At bookstores in June 2004 was, Discovering Lewis & Clark from the Air, 261 pages, 111 aerial photos, with text by Lewis & Clark scholar Joseph Mussulman. The book, which was five years in the making, covers the adventure's route from Montecello, VA to the mouth of the Columbia River, plus the four major side trips made by the party. Wark has a collection of more than 3600 Lewis & Clark route photos, both aerial and surface.
